Postdoctoral position available in mast cell biology and therapeutic at Imagine Institute-Paris-France
Offer: The laboratory of Dr Gaël Ménasché at Imagine Institute (https://www.institutimagine.org/en/gael-menasche-et-fernando-sepulveda-188) is looking for a full-time Postdoctoral Research Fellow to take on an exciting translational project aimed to develop new therapeutic strategies for allergic diseases. The position is offered for one year with the possibility for extension of an additional two years. Keywords: Mast cells, allergies, anaphylaxis, secretory granules, mouse models, Rab44 Project: Allergies (i.e. asthma, atopic dermatitis, food allergy and anaphylaxis) have increased steadily since several decades in developed countries now affecting one person in three and constitute a major health problem. This epidemic explosion is the result of an interplay between a genetic predisposition in the population and a growing imbalance between the immune system and the altered environment in a modern hygienic society. This drives a Th2 response involving various immune effector cells that promote the formation of specific IgE antibodies to otherwise harmless antigens (allergens). Allergic
Inflammation and Inflammatory Diseases Master 2021-2022
We are searching for motivated and outstanding students (Master II level) to join an International Master Study on “Inflammation and Chronic Inflammatory Diseases in Paris (free housing provides in the Cité Universitaire of Paris). For more information please look at the attached flyer and the Inflamex website: http://inflamex.fr/?lang=en Inflamex launched in 2012 the master specialty “Inflammation and inflammatory diseases” to address the need for experts on the topic of inflammation, from normal and pathological molecular basis to clinical applications and mathematical modeling. Each year, Inflamex grants up to 3 PhD fellowships to its best students who wishes to pursue their career in a partner’s laboratory. Download: Master-IMI-flyer2022.pdf
We are searching for motivated and outstanding MSc/PhD/MD/PostDoc research students to take on challenging projects in the field of Allergy, Cancer, Corona virus and Antibody-mediated therapy
Lab work includes immunological, molecular biology and microbiology methods, as well as in vivo mouse models of disease and work on human cells. Projects: Mechanisms underlying the pathophysiology of skin and airway allergic disease (Atopic dermatitis and asthma) Resolution processes of allergic inflammation Activating and inhibitory receptors on mast cells and eosinophils The role of inhibitory receptors on solid tumors (from melanoma to colon cancer) The interaction of mast cells and eosinophils with bacteria and fungi Corona virus: are mast cells and eosinophils involved in host protective or offensive mechanisms?
